If you want a count in for every Preset (to give you time to get to your instrument), go to Preferences -> Auto Count-in Settings and choose a number in the Count-In Bars field.

An alternative is to use a Playlist to add a count in, which you can then modify to your own needs.

To add a count-in to an existing Preset:

1. Select the Preset in the library
2. Tap the Actions button in the bottom left
3. Choose "Add Count In To Preset"

A new Playlist will be created with a default count in followed by your chosen preset.

You can treat the count in like any item in a Playlist and modify the sounds as you wish.

Note that the default Count-in uses "Auto Voice Counting" for the Metronome sounds. This means you'll hear "1,2,3,4".  If you don't want to hear the voice count, just pull the "Bar" and "1" faders down in the mixer.

Tap the Gear button to change the length of the count in. You can also set the default count-in length in the Preferences menu.

Count-ins in Playlists

You can add multiple count ins to items in a Playlist. This can be useful if you have a page of music entered so each Playlist item is a new bar.

You can add count ins for every item and set them all to Skip When Reached. you'll then be able to play the piece through and none of the count-ins will play unless you manually select them before hitting play. That means you can jump into the piece at any location and be counted in, but when the Playlist automatically advances to the next item, it will skip the count ins.

To add a count-in to a single item in a Playlist:

1. Select the item for which you want to add a count in
2. Tap the + in the top right and choose "Add Count-in"

To add count-ins for multiple items in a Playlist:

1. Tap the pencil button in the top right
2. Select the items for which you want to add count-ins
3. Tap the + in the top right and choose "Add Count-In"

To modify the Action When Reached of multiple Count-ins:

1. Tap the pencil button in the top right
2. Select the count-ins you wish to change
3. Tap the Actions button in the bottom left
4. Tap "Auto Advance Options"
5. Choose the desired "Action when reached"
